What this site does

The public Kotta website sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, no advertising tags, no social media embeds and no third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing is stored on your device, and nothing follows you when you leave.

That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. A banner asking permission to do something that is not being done is noise, and the brief for this site was to remove noise rather than add it.

The typefaces, images and scripts this site needs are served from this domain, so visiting a page does not make a request to anyone else.

The forms

When you submit the contact or request-access form, what you typed is sent to our server and stored. That is described in the Privacy Policy. No cookie is set to do it.

Our hosting provider

Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie in limited circumstances — for example to route a request correctly or to protect the site from attack. Cookies of that kind are exempt from the consent requirement because the site cannot be delivered securely without them. They are not used to profile you or to track you between sites.

If this changes

If we later add analytics or any other non-essential cookie, we will do all of the following before it runs:

update this page and the Privacy Policy;
ask for your permission first — nothing non-essential will load until you have given it;
make refusing as easy as accepting, with Accept all, Reject non-essential and Manage preferences given equal weight;
remember your choice, and let you change it; and
add a “Cookie settings” link to the footer so the choice stays reachable.

Until then there is no preference to manage, which is why no such link appears in the footer.

Controlling cookies yourself

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, block them, or delete them. The controls are usually under privacy or security settings. Blocking cookies entirely will not affect this website, because it does not use any.
